England vs South Africa 2nd T20 Preview & Tips
England will be hoping for more of an opportunity to give their T20 specialists a chance to prove their quality in the second T20 after they were only given five overs to bat in the first T20 due to the rain.

- Head To Head
- England Form
- South Africa Form
South Africa were ultimately able to benefit from the rain reduced first T20 as they restricted England to just 54/5 in their five overs.
Head To Head
South Africa have won five of their last 10 against England in the T20 format, with England winning the other five.
England Form
England were given the unenviable task of trying to chase down 69 in just five overs against a South African bowling attack full of pace and power.
Jos Buttler's 25 from 11 proved their top score as he smashed one four and three sixes. However, he was not able to get England over the line in a match that will go down as one of the more bizarre T20's as only 12.5 of the 40 overs were bowled. Both sides will hope the rain stays away in the second T20 in Manchester.
I backed Buttler to top score for England in the first T20 and that is exactly what he did. I predict he will do the same in the second T20 as he was the only player to consistently find the middle of the bat for the home side.
South Africa Form
South Africa hammered their way to an impressive 97/5 in their 7.5 overs before the rain curtailed their already shortened innings. While they were good with the bat, their exploits with the ball caught the eye as their quicks kept England honest and took regular wickets.
The return of Kagiso Rabada will excite the South African team, but I was most impressed with Marco Jansen. Jansen removed Jacob Bethell early before then getting the prized wicket of Jos Buttler.
With more overs in a full T20, I back Jansen to shine. He has the knack for making things awkward for the batters, with this either seeing the runs dry up or the batsmen trying to hit the wrong ball to the boundary. I back him to take wickets in the second T20.
Verdict
I am backing Buttler to top score for England once again as Jansen gets in on the wickets for the tourists.
