New Zealand vs Australia 3rd T20 Preview & Tips

New Zealand were unable to bounce back from their loss to Australia in the first T20 as the second T20 was washed out.

Australia will not lose this series after the no result in the second match, and they will have their eyes set on securing a 2-0 series win.

The Aussies have won eight of their last 10 against New Zealand, with the Black Caps winning the other two.

New Zealand will have been hugely disappointed to see their hopes of beating Australia in their T20 series evade them as their loss in the first clash proved terminal.

Despite a stunning 106 not out from Tim Robinson, the Black Caps could not contain Australia. Indeed, they would likely have needed well above 200 runs to have a chance of beating the tourists who eased to their target with six wickets and 21 balls to spare.

While the Black Caps have the chance to exact some revenge on Australia, I do not predict that they will win this one. Australia have been too good for New Zealand in recent meetings, and I do not foresee this trend changing.

Australia continue to prove that they are one of the premier teams in the men's T20 game, with the side now eyeing a 2-0 series win on foreign soil.

In the first T20, Australia were pretty good with the ball, restricting their hosts to 181/6. The batting surface was clearly a good one as the Aussies romped home with a score of 185/4 in 16.3 overs. If the Aussies were batting first, they would have been looking at well above 220 runs.

Mitchell Marsh was a huge reason why the Aussies went so well, smacking his way to 85 from 43. I back him to plunder another score as the Aussies notch a 2-0 series win.

I am backing Mitchell Marsh to go beyond 50 runs once again as Australia down New Zealand in the third T20.
