France Women are eyeing an unlikely spot in the Women's World Cup final, with only England standing in their way of appearing in the showpiece final.

England Women will come into their semi-final with France confident they can extend a long winning run over their opponents.

In their last 10 meetings, England have won each times, with their last game ending in a 40-6 triumph.
France Women Form
France Women have been excellent at the 2025 World Cup, easily making it out of their group and into the knockout stages.
However, they were given an immediate scare as they went in at half-time 13-0 down against Ireland. While they did stage a brilliant second-half comeback as they fought back to secure an 18-13 win, the cracks were clear for all to see. If France give England the same sort of time and space they afforded to Ireland, they will not win this match.
While I back France to be better in this one, I do not predict that they will beat a side that have had their number for many years.
England Women Form
England Women have been outstanding so far, with no side able to get anywhere near them on the field.
Some had though the major rivalry behind their game with Scotland might add some real spice to the quarter-final. However, this did not materialise, with the gap between the two nations too big for Scotland to ever really trouble the English.
I back this match to go in a similar direction. France are a good side, but only New Zealand can truly challenge England, and I back the home side to take their place in the final of their own tournament.
Verdict
I am backing England to win this one with a -20 point handicap as they brush France aside.
