- Blues vs Force
- Hurricanes vs Chiefs
- Brumbies vs Waratahs
We have the latest Super Rugby Round 12 betting tips for a handful of the best matches to be played this weekend.
Blues vs Force
We are edging towards the last chance saloon for the Blues if they are to have any part in the Finals Series and potentially defending their crown. The Blues currently sit in ninth on the ladder with 17 points, five short of their next opponents in sixth. A win in this match is vital. The Blues arrive for this one having lost their last two but, positively, both defeats came on the road. At home, the Blues have won their last two, beating Moana Pasifika and the Hurricanes. For the Force, this is a chance to end a two-game winless run after drawing with the Hurricanes and losing 56-22 to the Chiefs. On the road, the Force have lost their last four, and this one looks likely to end in a comfortable loss for the travelling side.
Hurricanes vs Chiefs
The Hurricanes have a major chance to stake their claim this season as they face the Chiefs at home. The 'Canes arrive on the back of a 35-29 win over the Brumbies in their last match, although two of their last three home games have ended in defeat. Meanwhile, the Chiefs arrive for this one having won their last two, while they have only lost two of their 10 outings so far, winning the other eight. With a chance to move clear at the top with the Crusaders not playing this week, we back the Chiefs to secure their ninth win in 11 matches this season.
Brumbies vs Waratahs
This is an intriguing contest below the top two, with third-placed Brumbies hosting seventh-placed Waratahs. The Brumbies can cut the gap on the Crusaders by winning, but they will need to bounce back from a stunning 35-29 loss to the Hurricanes in their last home game. Meanwhile, the Waratahs were stunned by Fijian Drua in their last match as they followed up a massive 21-14 win over the Chiefs with a disappointing loss. Each of the last two meetings between the sides have seen one team win by between 5-10 points, and I back the home side to continue this trend with a battling win.
Verdict
I am backing home advantage to tell for the Blues and Brumbies, but I believe the Chiefs will show they are the team to beat as they down the Hurricanes on the road.
