Auckland FC are unbeaten after their opening two matches of the season, with the side picking up four points from a possible six.
Adelaide United could not build on their 2-1 win over Sydney FC in game one as they were beaten by Macarthur at the weekend.

Auckland FC had to fight hard for their first win of the season as a stubborn WS Wanderers side threatened to take a point from their hosts.
In the end, Auckland were able to show their class, but things were a little too close for comfort in a tight 1-0 win. Victory means they are still unbeaten, with the four points they have picked up enough to see them move into third on the ladder. While the season is still very young, Auckland have enjoyed a solid start.
However, all of their good work in their opening two could be undone with a poor performance against their opponents. Adelaide United lost their only away game of the season so far but have been a thorn in Auckland’s side, taking points from them in both meetings last year. While I back another entertaining match, I believe Auckland will finally get one over on their opponents.

Adelaide United began the new season in excellent style as they beat Sydney FC 2-1 to take all three points from their opponents.
However, they slipped to a frustrating loss at the hands of Macarthur as they were beaten in their first away game. Was this a blip or is this a sign of things to come? If Adelaide are to mount a serious challenge this season, they will have to be fairly consistent on the road.
Of course, going to the home of the best side in the regular season last time out is never easy, and while they have only scored once so far, Auckland are yet to concede. I predict United will end this run, but I do not back them to take any points as they lose their second consecutive away game in the league this season.

I am backing both sides to score as Auckland FC make it three without defeat at the start of the new season.
