Perth Glory were consigned to a second consecutive defeat in the league as they were edged out by WS Wanderers in a 1-0 loss.
Auckland FC took a point from Central Coast Mariners in their last outing as they stayed at the top of the ladder following a 2-2 draw.

Perth Glory made it two defeats on the spin in their last two A-League outings as their 2-1 loss to Brisbane Roar was quickly followed by a 1-0 loss to WS Wanderers.
No points from a possible six means Glory sit in 10th with 16 points, five short of Brisbane Roar in sixth. While there is still plenty of the season to come, their poor run of form across the season means that they are closer to Central Coast Mariners at the bottom than they are the top six.
While Perth have beaten Auckland in one of their two previous meetings, eight defeats in 14 outings this season does not instil much confidence in their ability to do it all again. While I predict a low-scoring match, I believe they will come away from this one with nothing to show for their efforts.

Despite failing to win either of their last two, Auckland FC still find themselves at the summit of the A-League with a one-point lead over Newcastle Jets in second.
While they did avoid another defeat following their 2-1 loss to Melbourne City with a battling point in a 2-2 draw with Central Coast Mariners, this did see them drop two points against the league's bottom side.
Now, Auckland FC have the chance to get back to winning ways and ensure they do not go three without a win. The pair have seen a single goal decide their two previous meetings, and I predict this game will be another tight one as the visiting side come away with the points.
