Perth Glory are looking to seriously improve on their exploits across the 2024/25 A-League season after finishing rock-bottom of the competition.
Wellington Phoenix were better than Perth Glory last year, although not by much, with the visitors finishing seven points above the side that finished at the bottom.

Now, the focus will be on starting well against an opponent that was poor last year. However, without a win in 90 minutes in their last two matches, I am backing against the travelling side. I also predict that at least one side will fail to score in a match that highlights the weakness of two attacks that scored a combined 49 goals in 52 matches last year.
Verdict
I am backing Perth Glory-Draw in the double chance market as I predict that Wellington Phoenix will fluff their lines in a tricky A-League opener on the road. I am also backing at least one team to fail to hit the back of the net.
