Poland vs New Zealand Preview & Tips – Matty Cash to find the net in another Poland win

New Zealand need to bounce back from a pair of defeats at the hands of Australia, with the latest of these seeing them lose 3-1 at home. 

The pair have only met once before, with Poland easing to a 2-0 win back in 2002. 

Poland were excellent in their last match as they beat Finland 3-1. The one frustration will have been their failure to keep a clean sheet as they conceded in the 88th minute. 

Prior to their win over Finland, Poland had secured a battling draw with the Netherlands. This came as Matty Cash scored an 80th minute goal to bring the scores level at 1-1. By scoring against Finland, Cash now boasts a goal in each of his last two matches. 

Results between Poland and New Zealand are few and far between. The last time the pair met, Poland won 2-0 back in 2002. It simply means the head to head results between the pair mean little. With regard to the formbook for the pair, Poland are in far better form. They are unbeaten in their last two, while New Zealand have lost their last three. I see only one winner in this one when taking the form into account. 

New Zealand have struggled for quality performances of late, with the side unable to win a match since they beat the Ivory Coast 1-0 back in June. 

Since then, they have lost 2-1 to Ukraine, while they have been beaten 1-0 and 3-1 by Australia in a double-header with their opponents. With goals and clean sheets tough to come by, New Zealand will worry that their latest away game will see them sink to a fourth consecutive defeat.
