WS Wanderers took a point from Melbourne City in their last outing as they bounced back from their 4-1 loss to Sydney FC the week before.
Wellington Phoenix slipped to a 3-2 loss at the hands of Melbourne Victory at the weekend as their winless run was extended to three matches.

Phoenix have won four of their last 10 against Wanderers, with the latter winning three times and three games ending as draws.
WS Wanderers Form
WS Wanderers have been enduring a tough A-League season so far. With the side only able to take 16 points from their opening 16 games, this has seen them slip to the foot of the ladder.
At home, WS have only avoided defeat in three of their nine outings, but they are unbeaten in their last two, winning once against Perth Glory and drawing with Melbourne City.
Against Phoenix, the home side will be confident they can come away with something. Their opponents have been poor this season, and they arrive on the back of three without a win. With this in mind, I back WS to secure a second draw in as many outings.
Wellington Phoenix Form
Wellington Phoenix have not been good enough of late, with a solid start to 2026 that saw them pick up seven points from a possible nine making way for one point from a possible nine.
Their 3-2 loss to Melbourne Victory at the weekend was another display of their weaknesses as they conceded two or more goals for the third consecutive game.
Their woes at the back have been a big reason as to why they sit in 11th on the ladder, while defeat in this one could see them slip to the foot of the ladder. While I do not predict this will be the case as they take a point from their hosts, I do not see them winning this one as they miss the chance to edge closer to the top six.
