In an incredible turn of events, neither Australia nor England will appear in the 2025 World Cup final after they were both stunned in the semi-finals. 

For England, they were left humiliated by South Africa in the semi-final as they were beaten 125-runs. Despite hammering South Africa by 10-wickets earlier in the group-stage, England could not get anywhere near South Africa, with the Proteas putting in an exceptional performance with both bat and ball. 

For India, they had to eliminate the ultimate tournament team in Australia, with their five-wicket win special. India were set 339 to win in the semi-finals, but they roared to a five-wicket win with nine balls to spare as they shone with the bat. 

Now, both India and South Africa will arrive for the final with a single big performance needed for either to secure the trophy. 

India may be the favourites, but South Africa actually beat their opponents earlier in the group-stage. This came with India really struggling, and there were points where India looked like they may miss out on the knockout stages. 

Despite their struggles, they did manage to battle into the semi-finals, with the side finally able to kick into gear as they beat the Aussies in the last-four.
