The summer and autumn Test series have been scrapped in favour of a brand new competition called the Nations Championship.
The tournament will see the 12 best sides in the world battling for supremacy, with matches taking place across July and November.
You can see the betting odds for the outright winner of the first iteration of the tournament below.

| South Africa | $1.90 |
| France | $4.50 |
| New Zealand | $4.50 |
| England | $8.50 |
| Ireland | $15.00 |

South Africa are the big favourites to win the debut season of the 2026 Nations Championship, with the double world champions winning their first three matches of the campaign.
France and New Zealand arrive as South Africa's big competitors, with England leading the way for the rest ahead of Ireland and Scotland. There is then a big gap between the rest with Australia the favourites among the underdogs.
The tournament itself will see each side play the other six nations in the opposite championship across July and November. July will see the southern hemisphere sides hosting three northern hemisphere outfits. This is then flipped in November, with the southern hemisphere sides travelling to take on the three northern teams they did not host.
The competition will end with six different finals played at Twickenham stadium. The top side in the northern championship will take on the top side in the southern championship with this going all the way down to sixth playing sixth.
In November, the Test matches return. The biggest match on the first weekend will see England take on Australia, with the second round seeing the match everyone wants to see as France take on South Africa. The final round of the regular season sees a number of huge matches including England vs New Zealand, Ireland vs South Africa and France vs Argentina.
The competition will see each and every game provided with more jeopardy. Previously, tours of countries had seen nations leaving some of their best players at home, with little on the line other than bragging rights. Now, with points and a trophy on the line, teams will be aiming to play their best starting XV’s as they try to secure the first ever Nations Championship crown.
Which side will secure the glory in 2026? Can South Africa and France come through on being the favourites by meeting in the final?
