The 2026 World Cup is hurtling towards the biggest final in sport, with the tournament this year providing some of the great footballing stories.

With the tournament already at the semi-finals, the European teams dominate the top of betting, but reigning champions Argentina are still in with a shot at defending their title.

You can see the latest 2026 World Cup winner betting odds in the table below.

France are seen as the team to back heading into the last-four match-ups, with the side continually showcasing their razor sharp attack and solid defence across the tournament.

Spain, Argentina and England are just behind the favourites, with any of the three seen as viable shots when it comes to lifting the trophy.

The semi-finals will see France taking on Spain in the first semi-final before England clash with Argentina in the second semi-final.

In the quarter-finals, France secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Morocco, but this was the only comfortable win of the round. Spain needed a last minute goal to beat Belgium 2-1, while Jude Bellingham scored a brace as England beat Norway in extra-time. Argentina also needed extra-time as they eliminated Switzerland in a 3-1 win.

According to the odds, the winner of the World Cup will likely come from the first semi-final. France take on Spain, with the former the favourites and the latter level with England in the betting. Of course, anything can happen at this stage of the World Cup, but France making it to the World Cup final in 2022 and Spain arriving as the reigning European champions means both will be confident.

England and Argentina will fancy their chances of stunning their opponents. Both arrive with some brilliant players set to take the field for them. Both will know who awaits them in the final, with England looking for revenge against a Spanish side that beat them in the Euro 2024 final, while Argentina could face a rematch of the 2022 World Cup final against France, which they won.

While fans look out for moments of magic, games can just as easily be decided by a moment of madness via an own goal, lost possession or a red card.

Which side will win the 2026 World Cup? Can Argentina defend their crown, or will one of the European heavyweights secure the glory?
