Wellington Phoenix were held by the Central Coast Mariners in their last match as the pair shared the points in a 1-1 draw.
Auckland FC made it two consecutive wins in the A-League as they battled past Adelaide United in a 2-1 home win.

Wellington Phoenix have been solid at the start of the new season, managing to avoid defeat across their first three matches.
Particularly impressive has been their staying power in away games, with the Phoenix taking points from Perth Glory and Central Coast Mariners. While the former currently sit at the bottom of the ladder, securing points against any side on the road should be commended.
My worry for Wellington heading into this one is that they are yet to face a team in the same bracket as Auckland FC this season. They have also been poor against their opponents, losing all three of their previous meetings with an aggregate score of 10-2.
While I back Phoenix to extend their run of scoring in the A-League to four games, I do not back them to secure the win in this one.
Auckland FC Form
Auckland FC were left hugely frustrated by Melbourne Victory in their opening game of the season as they could not break the deadlock in a 0-0 draw.
Since then, Auckland have managed to battle to two wins over WS Wanderers and Adelaide United, but neither win has come with a big winning margin, with the opposition proving tough to consistently break down.
Against Wellington, I predict that Auckland will take all three points, but I do not foresee an easy game. In fact, I predict that the travelling side will concede for the second consecutive game as they head into the November international break on the back of a win.
