Jannik Sinner is the man to beat ahead of the French Open with the Italian storming to the head of the betting following Carlos Alcaraz's withdrawal from the competition.
Alcaraz was aiming for three consecutive French Open titles in 2026, but his injury means that there will be a different name on the trophy for the first time since 2023.
For Sinner, he may be the overwhelming favourite in the betting, but he is yet to triumph at the event. Indeed, Sinner's appearance in the final in 2025 was his first foray to the showpiece event at Roland Garros.
Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic is the last player to have won the trophy outside of Alcaraz. Djokovic beat Casper Ruud in three sets back in 2023 to secure his third French Open title, and he will be eyeing up a fourth at Roland Garros in 2026.
Alexander Zverev is Sinner's big competition according to the betting, but Zverev has not won a single Grand Slam despite edging towards his 30's.
While Zverev may be fancied to challenge according to the odds, he is yet to really convince at the biggest events. If he is to outlast the likes of Sinner and Djokovic then it would be a major surprise.
Which player will win the 2026 French Open? Can Sinner finally get his hands on the trophy, or will he have to watch on as one of his competitors gets their hands on the silverware?
