Alex De Minaur vs Adrian Mannarino Preview & Tips

Alex De Minaur was far too good for Roman Andres Burruchaga in the first round as he stormed to a fairly simple 3-0 win.

Adrian Mannarino also enjoyed a straight sets win in the first round as he easily eliminated Titouan Droguet.

  • Mannarino has lost 21 of his 33 matches in 2026 (W12)

Head To Head

The pair have met six times before with De Minaur securing five wins and Mannarino notching one victory back in 2022.

Alex De Minaur Form

Alex De Minaur was able to secure a very impressive win over Roman Andres Burruchaga in the first round as he ensured he would avoid the ignominy of a first round exit at Wimbledon.

While he had to grind to a 7-6 win in the first set, this seemed to break the spirit of his opponent as he stormed to a 7-6 6-1 6-0 win. This triumph backed up five wins in his seven prior to the biggest Slam of the season.

Heading into this one, De Minaur is the big favourite. He boasts 25 wins in 38 matches this season, while he has won five of his six against his opponent including their last four meetings. Aiming to better his disappointing fourth round exit at Wimbledon last year, I back De Minaur to edge into the third round.

Adrian Mannarino Form

Like De Minaur, Adrian Mannarino did not give up a set in his opening match as he hammered Titouan Droguet 6-2 6-4 6-1.

This win put an end to a two-match losing run as he was eliminated in the second round in London before losing in the first round in Mallorca. His recent woes have not been confined to late June, with Mannarino losing 21 of his 33 matches in 2026.

Across his career, Mannarino has secured 113 wins on grass, but this tally comes alongside 73 defeats. Winning consistently on grass has been a problem across Mannarino's career, and I back another early exit for the veteran.

Verdict

I am backing De Minaur to secure a 3-1 win over Mannarino as he eliminates his experienced opponent in four sets.
