NRL Round 10 Best Bets - Panthers backed for tight NRL win over Raiders

The Gold Coast Titans arrive on the back of consecutive defeats at the hands of the Warriors and the Raiders. This has seen any hopes of forging up the ladder disappear, with the side currently languishing down in 14th with six points. With the difference on the ladder between the Roosters and Titans currently standing at eight points, we are also likely to see a big difference between the pair on the pitch. 

The Roosters have won nine of their last 10 against the Titans, with the latter securing a shock 30-12 win on the road in their meeting last year. With a shot at revenge on the cards, I am backing the Roosters to notch a big win as they continue to build on a strong start to the season. 

The Penrith Panthers continue to set the pace in the NRL after wining eight of their opening nine matches. With the exception of their shock 32-16 loss to the Bulldogs back on April 9, the Panthers have been perfect. They have mixed defensive solidity in most games with the ability to tear the opposition apart, as shown by their healthy +169 points difference. Leading the Warriors and Roosters on the ladder by two points, the Panthers will fancy themselves to at least maintain their lead at the summit this weekend. 

The Panthers have won five of their last 10 against the Raiders with the latter winning the other five. While there is an even split in the head to head between the sides, the eight-point gap between the pair on the ladder shows which side is stronger, and I back another win for the Panthers albeit a tight one.
