Zimbabwe vs New Zealand 2nd Test Preview & Tips
Zimbabwe were given yet another lesson in cricket in their first Test against New Zealand as they slipped to a nine wicket loss at the hands of the Kiwis.

New Zealand would always have been eyeing a 2-0 series win over Zimbabwe, and they are now just one solid performance away from victory.

New Zealand have won all four of the Test matches played between the pair.
Zimbabwe Form
The need for Zimbabwe to play more consistent Test cricket has been clear for years, with continued matches against better opposition likely to help them to develop.
However, consistent heavy defeats to the best sides will have a negative impact on the side as the continue to struggle to come to terms with batting and bowling against the best.
Against New Zealand, Zimbabwe had their moments as they bowled the tourists out for 307. However, this was sandwiched by two poor batting performances in which they scored 149 and 165, leaving the Kiwis needing just eight runs to win.
While games this like will once again give Zimbabwe good time out in the middle, they are likely only going to have to stomach another heavy defeat.
New Zealand Form
New Zealand did not ever seem to get out of second gear in their clash with Zimbabwe, cantering to a nine-wicket win.
Matt Henry was the star of the show as he took 6/39 and 3/51 to see the home side twice fail to get anywhere near posting 200 or more. Ultimately, the difference in the two sides was shown as New Zealand needed just one innings to build a score that almost accounted for both of Zimbabwe’s batting displays.
Their nine-wicket win was underpinned by Devon Conway (88) and Daryl Mitchell (80), with the pair looking good with the bat. As I did in the first Test, I am backing Mitchell to go well with the bat as he notches another good score.
Verdict
I am backing New Zealand to win once again as Mitchell stars with the bat.
