Super Rugby Round 6 Betting Tips - Chiefs to hand Brumbies another Super Rugby defeat?

Best bets and expert insight ahead of the sixth round of the Super Rugby season with tips for matches including Highlanders vs Hurricanes and Brumbies vs Chiefs. 

The Highlanders have struggled for consistency this season, with the side winning two of their opening five and losing the other three. Both of their wins this season have come at home, with triumphs over the Crusaders (25-23) and the Force (39-31) coming alongside a loss to the Chiefs (26-23). Worrying for the Highlanders is that they have lost their last five home games against their opponents, while they have lost their last nine against them. 

Currently sitting at the top of the Super Rugby ladder, the Hurricanes are looking to notch a fourth win in five matches as they look to extend their impressive start. With the exception of a 25-20 loss to Fijian Drua, the Hurricanes have been excellent, beating Moana Pasifika (52-10), the Waratahs (59-19) and the Force (31-23). Having scored at least 30 points in their three wins, the Hurricanes will be confident, and this is doubly true as they look to win for the 10th consecutive times against the Highlanders, and I back them to do just that in a dominant victory. 

The Brumbies have seen a three-game winning run make way for a tough two-match losing streak that is threatening to see all of the momentum they have generated disappear. In their last outing, the Brumbies were beaten 42-27 by Fijian Drua in a high-scoring defeat. This loss came hot on the heels of a 34-31 loss to the Reds, with the Brumbies struggling. More worrying still is their awful form against the Chiefs. Having lost their last five against their opponents, I believe this game will see the Brumbies slip to a third consecutive loss in the competition. 

The Chiefs have looked in good form at the start of the new season, winning three of their opening four matches and moving up to fourth on the ladder. A sole defeat to the Crusaders at home denied the Chiefs a perfect run in the competition, but they are at least able to move above their next opponents if they can secure a win. With seven wins in their last 10 against their hosts and a perfect run on the road so far, I am backing the Chiefs to notch another win.
