Jakub Mensik needed all five sets to see-off Mariano Navone in the second round as he secured a battling 3-2 triumph.

Slightly worrying for De Minaur will be his record on clay. The Aussie has won 82 times and lost 61 clay court outings. Fortunately for De Minaur, he boasts a perfect record against Mensik. He has been far too good for his opponent, meaning I predict another simple win as De Minaur extends his run of never dropping a set to his opponent.

Jakub Mensik traded a very easy win in the opening round for the mother of all challenges against Mariano Navone.
In the second round, Mensik ground out a 6-3 2-6 6-4 1-6 7-6 victory as he was pushed all the way. While he did showcase his budding ability on the court, on a different day he would likely have slumped to a heart-breaking loss.
In the third round, Mensik has it all to do. De Minaur will have benefitted from time away from the court in the second round while Mensik was taken all the way in his last outing. The 20-year-old has already shown glimpses of his ability, but I predict he will have to wait for another chance at the French Open as he is eliminated in the third round.
